Terms of Service

Eligibility

Inkwell is only for use on Discord, and your use of it is subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times. You must meet Discord's own age and eligibility requirements to use Discord at all, and by extension to use Inkwell.

What Inkwell does

Inkwell is a general-purpose Discord bot providing moderation, ticketing, applications, leveling, anti-raid protection, logging, and related server-management and community features. Some features are available on a free plan; others require a paid subscription plan ("Premium"). The current feature set and plan boundaries are described on Inkwell's dashboard and are subject to change as described in Section 9.

Server administrator responsibilities

If you add Inkwell to a server, or configure it, you represent that you have the authority to do so (e.g., you are the server owner or hold the "Manage Server" permission), and you are responsible for:

• Configuring Inkwell's features appropriately for your community and applicable law;
• Any moderation actions, automated or manual, taken via Inkwell in your server;
• Ensuring your members are aware that a bot is logging/moderating messages and actions where applicable (see the Privacy Policy);
• Complying with Discord's own rules regarding bot use, including bot verification requirements once your server(s) using Inkwell reach a threshold covered by those requirements.

Premium subscriptions

Certain features are gated behind a paid Premium plan. Premium billing is processed through PayPal. By subscribing to Premium you agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your selected plan, at the price in effect at the time of billing;
• No prorated refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law or explicitly offered by the Operator.

Premium purchases through Inkwell are one-time charges for a fixed term (or a one-time lifetime purchase), not an automatically recurring subscription — there is nothing to cancel, and access simply lasts for the term purchased. Premium-only features and data (e.g., stored server backups) may become inaccessible or subject to deletion after a term expires, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Prices and included features may change with notice posted to Inkwell's dashboard; continued use of Premium after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price at your next purchase.

Acceptable use

You may not use Inkwell to:

• Violate Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or any applicable law;
• Harass, abuse, or harm any person;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Inkwell, its infrastructure, or its data;
• Use Inkwell's automated moderation, anti-raid, or anti-alt features to unfairly target or discriminate against members on a prohibited basis;
• Resell, sublicense, or represent yourself as the operator of Inkwell without authorization.

The Operator may suspend or terminate Inkwell's access to any server, or any user's use of Inkwell, at its discretion, for violation of these Terms, at Discord's request, or to comply with law.

Data and privacy

Inkwell's collection, use, and deletion of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

No warranty

Inkwell is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. The Operator does not guarantee that Inkwell will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Automated features (including but not limited to anti-raid detection, anti-alt/risk scoring, and automated moderation actions) are heuristic and may produce false positives or false negatives; the Operator is not responsible for actions taken or not taken by these features.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Inkwell, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. The Operator's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Inkwell shall not exceed the amount you paid the Operator, if any, in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

Changes to these Terms

The Operator may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted to Inkwell's dashboard with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Inkwell after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Termination

The Operator may remove Inkwell from any server or terminate access at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon Inkwell being removed from (or banned from) a server, that server's associated data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. You may also remove Inkwell from your server at any time via Discord's own server settings, which has the same effect.
